Yonex Voltric 70 Badminton Racket (2010*)

A progression to a faster paced attacking style of play has set a new standard for equipment performance needs. Cutting-edge technology advancements and superior design concepts were tools utilized by the Yonex research and development team to create the foundation for the new Voltric series called the Tri-Voltage System™. This new technology integrates characteristics such as a head-heavy balance and increased durability commonly found in most "power" racquets, with a frame design that is built for control and aerodynamically structured for faster swing speeds. Tungsten material is incorporated at the two, six, and ten o'clock positions to create a well defined overall balance of weight in the racket head, and to maximize energy transfer to the shuttlecock at the point of impact. A 2.5% thinner frame construction design at the sides of the racket head maximizes the frames ability to return to its natural shape after shot impact, and creates a highly maneuverable racket with superior racket speed and control. The Tri-Voltage System™ is responsible for a 5% increase in power versus conventional racquets, and a new filtering material placed at the two and ten o'clock positions reduces unwanted vibrations and eliminates secondary noise characteristics for a clean, crisp, powerful shot.

The new TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM technology combines power and handling in a way that has never been seen before. When playing a smash, the heavy head generates exceptional "POWER" so that you can really feel the force of the shot. In close range play, it is also able to deliver incredibly fast handling.

TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM:
Traditionally, extra weight at the top of the racket frames has increased hitting power but reduced the speed of racket handling. In contrast, a lighter top to the frame increase speed but causes a loss of hitting power. For the first time, the new TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM successfully combines the contrasting characteristics of exceptional power and great handling.
Within the TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, Tungsten inserts are positioned at the two and ten o'clock position on the frame, and at the T-joint area. Tungsten provides more than 10 times the relative density of graphite, allowing the sides of the frame to be thinner and therefore achieving the combination of heavy smashes and speedy racket handling.
SOUND FILTER:
Uses new materials at the two and ten o'clock positions to reduce only high pitched and dull sound waves. This produces a louder and sharper sound on impact to unsettle opponents, and provides a more aggressive tone to your game for a relentlessly attacking style of play.
SUPER SLIM LONG SHAFT:
The slimmest racquet ever produced by Yonex vastly reduces air resistance whilst providing maximum flex.
ULTRA PEF:
"UltraPEF - Ultra Poly Ethylene Fiber" has stickiness and high shock absorption. The material is extremely light enough to float on water, and the 1 inch across is able to hang up about 20 tons. The telling shot which is requested by advanced-level players and the high repulsion by stretching and recovering its shape are achieved.
NEW GROMMET SYSTEM:
This single-pass grommet hole construction provides more grommet holes, creating a high-performance stringing pattern that puts 7% more durability.
AERO-BOX VARI-FRAME:
The Aero-Box Vari Frame reduces wind drag compared with a standard air-flow pattern, maximizing the power of the swing and the transfer of energy to the ball.
