Today�s badminton places extreme demands on badminton racquets � as the game steadily becomes faster and more powerful, players are demanding higher string tensions and placing increasing stresses on racquets. Extreme demands require the exceptional racquets of the Black Knight Vortex series.
The Vortex series combines today�s most advanced carbon materials with two structural features that are new to badminton:
- The Power Matrix externally reinforces the frame and acts as a spring to improve frame recovery following power shots such as smashes.
- Xtension Geometry architecture - a unique triple arch at the most stressed part of the frame, protecting the frame against high tension compression.
With the Vortex series, Black Knight has created a frame structure that resists compression and distortion due to high tension and high power play, and further increases racquet response by reducing frame recovery time � the time that it takes a frame to return to its natural form after impact with a shuttle.
Characteristics of the Vortex Krypton XL :
Designed for: Advanced to International level
Characteristics: The Krypton XL has been built light and flexible, with an XL frame, but with the balance still toward the head, to generate a lot of head speed for less powerful players. Although generally suited to singles, it is light enough to be excellent for very fast defensive play, but still hits hard for an attacking doubles player.
BLACK KNIGHT VORTES KRYPTON XL FEATURES:
This model is 68 cm in length, 1.5 -2.0 cm longer than traditional racquets.
Adding extra length in a lightweight badminton racquet is the surest way to add power. The longer axis between the hand and the point of contact adds head speed, and that translates into more energy to the shuttle.
Traditionally, badminton racquets are built 66-66.5 cm in length. At Black Knight, you will find most of our full graphite racquets to be 67cm, with a few models available at 68cm for the maximum effect.
Many XL models also have long handles for players who change their grip position according to the shot being played.
