MAGNUM
New for 2008, the Magnum models feature the largest head size in performance badminton racquets 10% more than a standard racquet, and 5% more than other large head racquets. The Magnum models are engineered for the maximum benefits of the large string surface: lots of power and phenomenal control on defense for novice to intermediate players.

In spite of the recent popularity of complementary materials such as Titanium, Beryllium and BrainWeave, the type and quality of the Graphite is the most important material factor in the features and performance of higher range racquets. The nature and mix of the graphite fibres will determine strength, torque, flex, weight, vibration dampening and response. Some factors critical to the quality of the finished graphite product are:
-The quality of the raw graphite filaments; -The treatment process (which immerses the graphite in an epoxy compound and converts the hair-like filaments into workable sheets);
-The mold design
-The lay up process
-The application of appropriate internal pressure and temperature during the curing process.

Characteristics of the Magnum 40 :
There have never been racquets before like the new BK Magnum models. Light and aerodynamic yet featuring all the benefits of a large hitting surface: - Larger sweet spot for better contact with the shuttle - Larger area turns frame hits or misses on smaller racquets into solid returns - Dynamic string bed returns more energy to the shuttle through the trampoline effect The Magnum 40 XL is light for a faster reaction time than the Magnum 20. The 68cm length translates into more power as needed.

BLACK KNIGHT MAGNUM 40 FEATURES:
HMG or HIGH MODULUS GRAPHITE:
a high strength, high performance grade of graphite fibre.

CARBON 4:
a highly effective form of carbon-graphite rated above conventional High Modulus Graphite.

COMPETITION GRIP:
an absorbent cotton base covered by a tacky outer layer with an almost flat surface. However, a slight ridge, created by stitching, winds up the handle. This ridge creates surface resistance for a surer grip in hot conditions.
